So, overall what are some of the better one's out there? Price wise and better built. I have a Cold Steel, Columbia River. Soon to purchase a ROSarms.

you do like stirring the hornets nest don't you...lol

The best for production I have ever dealt with is A.G. Russel, best custom maker would be a toss up between Paul Rimpler and Sid Birt who is retired.

Kershaw makes some good knives. I have about 5 or 6 different ones now and have been more than happy with each and every one. Get ya a Junkyard Dog II, I have two now and one more on the way. It's my favorite EDC folder right now.

I'm a big fan of Benchmade knives. Great quality from the grinds, materials used, and good heat treatment. I've probably bought about a dozen or more BMs over the years and they have all been great knives.

Kershaw makes nice and innovative blades. Any makers in my sig line also are great guys making a wide variety of knives.

BENCHMADE, Spyderco, Kershaw, and SOG to name a few. I love Benchmades! Most of the top name companies make some VERY GOOD knives. THANKS! Kevin

Hard core Spyderco fan here. I could tell you all about them but in short they are the best blades ever:thumbup: and if you buy one it won't be your last;):D Another Spyderco fan should be along shortly!

There are a lot of great knives out there that come close, but nothing beats Busse Combat knives.

In lower priced production knives I would say Spyderco, Lone Wolf and Benchmade. For upper end production knives I would go with Strider, Reeves, and William Henry. For custom knives some relly nice ones that I have gotten lately are from Todd Begg, Greg Lightfoot, Shane Seibert, Bob Terzuola and Walter Brend.

And Microtech.

You know unless you'd like a knife that costs less than a liver transplant and actually comes with a sheath

I like Boker and Buck. I've been particularly impressed with some of the newer releases by Boker Plus, esp. the AK-101 and Armed Forces II folders.
