So What Are Some Of The Better Knive Companys

Victorinox, Spyderco, Benchmade, Kershaw, Ka-Bar, Boker, Bark River, Buck, Fallkniven, and Mora just to name a few.

I would call Spyderco, Kershaw, and Benchmade the Big Threee.

None of the above posts mentions CRKT, so I will.

Busse do make some very expensive collector knives but the ones I like the best tend to be quite reasonably priced(for the top of the line) users. The thinner game warden is a fantastic knife made out of one of the best available steels for under 250$.
I prefer custom sheaths as almost no company sells a good sheath with their knives with the exception of Chris Reeves and maybe Fallkniven(another 2 great companies).

The big 3 names for tactical fixed blades are probably Busse ,Chris Reeves and Strider.
You can argue about their product but even the haters will admit they have the name recognition.

Bark river is coming real strong.

Microtech should make more fixed and nonauto folders so I can get some. My biggest complaint with them is they are always sold out. They also got my favourite custom kydex sheathmaker to do their sheaths.

2 of the coolest companies most people have never heard of are Rosarms from Russia and Hattori knives from Japan. They do oddly similar traditional style fixed blades. Hattori has an insane level of fit and finish while Rosarms has an incredibly sexy steel and LOW prices. Rosarms uses a type of Russian BG-42 with titanium in it.

One of my favourite companies is Spyderco. One thing I especially like about them is they have really good edge geometry while a lot of companies are far to obtuse.

My favorite is Busse for fixed though may fall under the semi-production label.

I have been extremely happy with Kershaw folders.

Bnchmade, Spyderco, Kershaw, Fallkniven, Victorinox+Wenger, Chris Reeve, Boker, Bark River..That should be enough to get you started.

I did mention it. Price/value wise. Workmanship also. I really appreicate the responses.
For the best price to value ratio, Victorinox is perfect. Their fit and finish/QC is the best I have seen, out of all my Vics, none have any blade play and all look like perfect specimens.

Emerson, Strider, Spyderco, Benchmade, and Boker. No complaints with either of the Kershaws that I have had either.

There are a lot of great knives out there that come close, but nothing beats Busse Combat knives.

Well, I'm glad Grimspoon saved me the trouble. :D

There are so many outstanding makers of folders that it's futile to even start (Spyderco, Kershaw, ........................).

Busse,Chris Reeve Knives, Spyderco, Kershaw, Benchmade Ranger knives, and Bark River.

Spyderco, Benchmade, Buck and Kershaw come to mind. There are lots of great brands out there.

busse combat, swamprat, chris reeve, hattori, seki-cut, ranger, mcusta, are some that i like. also try a custom from one of the makers here!
