So, what are the modern uses of the pen blade?

I use the pen blade for prying out staples in lumber. the size of the blade fits perfectly through the staples. also use it for removing splinters and making cut lines and minimal cutting tasks as others have said. First post by the way, hello everyone.

Hi TR, welcome to Bladeforums

I tried sharpening a pen with my pen blade...it just ruined the pen...so whats the point?:D

The thinner pen blade (unless it's the Buck 309 :p) slices through cardboard with less drag. Pen blade on my Vic classic loves cardboard.

We use a kind of waxy pencil at work known as a "Chinagraph".
These are used on a daily basis to change the names of the crew on the breathing apparati (CABA sets)
tally tags. So we go through them quite quickly and they always need a sharpen.go the pen blade!
