Like many people, I was taught to carry a knife in my pocket. After all Boy Scouts are prepared, right?

These days EDC (Everyday Carry) is thrown around like a new police badge. Is it really that important? I believe so. I remember growing up in the 80's and it was still OK to carry a pocket knife to school...at least in Texas it was. Now, and I get the some of the reasoning, it's a weapon...or is it a tool? I prefer to say it's a tool.

At any rate, today, I'm carrying my Paraframe Mini, Benchmade 154CM, a Gerber 600 Multiplier and my S&W SD9VE. It's all light weight and easy for me to use. My wallet is a Trayvax Summit. Again, it's small and fits in my front pocket.

So, what are you carrying?

Here's what I'm carrying today:

It's a KAI friction folder kitchen knife, a Case Sodbuster Jr. in bone, a Victorinox Classic SD (glow in the dark), and a Darrel Ralph SM100 mini pry bar on my keys.

The KAI is an amazing little kitchen knife that I keep with my at all times in my work bag. The blade is thinner than an Opinel, and it slices accordingly. Perfect for daily use and food prep (e.g. cutting up apples) at work. The Case Sodbuster Jr. is a classic, perfect for suit pants carry in an office environment. I have 4 or 5 different Victorinox Classic SDs--possibly the most useful tool I own (especially those little scissors). Lastly, the Darrel Ralph mini pry bar has been an absolute joy, and I use it all the time. (To take the last few examples: prying the lid loose on a completely stuck jar of sauerkraut; scraping several pieces of grout off of a marble counter top; popping the zip tie off of something that would have destroyed a knife tip if I had used it; etc..)

I can post pics later, Benchmade 51 in my pocket, TOPS scalpel on my boot, ti multitool, and my trusty custom shop para 1911

Love all of them gents. Thank you for your replies. I'm learning to appreciate the Victorinox and Wenger Swiss Army Knives...they truly are a life saver from time to time, but ultimately any knife is the perfect tool when you need one.
