Hey Jaxx... I hope you didn't dash my chances at a SWATmandu or two :).
 
So not many people went for the Butaniku? I was really on the fence on that one. In the end, I used it to talk myself out of getting a couple of other blades that I didn't need, and just pulled the trigger. But I'm still not sure if it is a good idea - I'm worried that the grind will be too thick to cut, but the blade will be too narrow to chop.

I had it on my e-mail, but without additional pics, I wasn't going to gamble on it, so I pulled it last night before the festivities. Make sure you post pics to show me what a numbskull move THAT was!!! I hope it's as awesome for you as it looks in the pic on the Ganzaa page!!!

I ordered a Tan B8 and a SMD w/ BlkG10 and saved some money in case a B8CG run is offered.:cool:
 
B8, and I broke down and went for a Mofo as well. The double cut finish and fuller got me.

Wish I could've gotten a short butaniku but that's not in the cards for me right now.

The dimensions are very similar to Dragon Fang (blade is a touch shorter although still the same as the entire length of a Swamprat Rucki), and I think it will balance and handle better than the full-size Butaniku. Still concerned about the thickness of the grind, though.

I was going to get a Swatmandu because it seemed like a no-brainer at the price, but I already have the Infidu, and so many other comparable knives (GSO 5.1, Bravo 1.25/1.5, Gravelle BIC) that all the 5" bases are covered.

Ha Ha, I HAD to get the SMD to replace my SOS INFIdu I traded for a G2 Contender carbine.:cool:
 
I went for the Short Butaniku...Black blade/ black handle.

Wanted a MOFO and a MOABOLO but ...........limits you know. :(
