So, what beer did you buy to drink at Thanksgiving?

Yep, just like Rugger... everybody is gone, the house is finally cleaned up, and I'm friggin' exhausted. But... I think I need to go get me a turkey sammich!;)

The Sam Adams winter lager is mighty tasty stuff, as is the Smithwick's. I think the Sam slightly edged out the Smithwick's as my favorite though. The Leinie apple spice beer was interesting bordering on slightly nasty. My boozehound bro-in-law said it tasted like someone came by and poured some apple juice in his beer. He drank it anyway. I guess I should give the Stella Artois a try. I know my local Jewel has it.
Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. Looking forward to turkey sammiches, turkey ala king, turkey soup, turkey omelets, turkey chop suey, turkey again and again.

but I can still smoke a couple bowls of weed, and then eat like a pig.:D.:D.

I'm surprised you haven't set your damn mustache on fire yet, Mr. Stalin! :D

The bad new... had major stomach surgery 14 months ago and that precludes me from drinking anything with carbonation, so beer is no longer on the menu. :(

The good news... single malt scotch is still on the list, and so I enjoyed a dram or two of very, very nice Auchentoshan Three Wood yesterday while visting with relatives gathered 'round the soapstone stove. :D

Life is very good, and any day I can get out of bed in the morning is a great one!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving and a joyous holiday season to all of my fellow knife nuts!

My brother brought over Labatts Blue...yuk..

Glockman, I am a fellow gout sufferer but as long as I take my allipurinol, I can drink in moderation without a flare up. I feel your pain!...
I also take Allopurinol (only 100mg, X1), and I really put it to the test yesterday....I ate a mess of prawns, shrimp salad, and a couple crab-cakes, and so far-so good, as the ball joint of my left big toe isn't swelling up...Yet.:D.

As far as beer goes, I'm not much of a drinker anyway, so I don't miss it.

It was nothing special for myself, just some blue collar brew:
Rolling Rock.

Allen.
