i dont think i would EDC it but i want one

The Military is not Spyderco's best seller, but it may be its most loved knife. Big, useful blade in a thin, pocketable profile. Flick open easily and closes with one hand. I appreciate it even more after carrying all manner of other big blades like the CQC-8 and many others. In its genre, its about as good as it gets.

Welcome to Bladeforums.

Don't like it much. Only have two of those. :D
(Great knife, everyone should have at least one!)

The Military is a fantastic knife. I personally find it too big to EDC. that being said, I own several. I carried the Endura for several years, until I found the Para 2. It gives you the ergonomics of the Military, but scaled down just enough to be, in my opinion, a perfect EDC knife.

I love the Military. It's one of my all time favorites right up there with my Sebenza. It's a classic in my book. It is a large knife so you might wanna pocket one and see how it feels and fits before you buy it.

The Military is one of my favorites. I don't find the handle too big at all, and it's very thin and hardly noticeable in pocket. The blade is a super cutter, and I don't have any qualms with EDCing it.

The Military shrinks in use. The first time I opened the box on one, I thought "Man, this thing is big!" Then I opened the knife and upgraded that to "Huge!" Then I closed it and slipped it into my back pocket where it vanished. In a week, it was a perfectly normal size, but my Delica had somehow turned into a Ladybug. I've carried one or another of my Millies every day for the last five years.

Military is one awesome blade but of you want something to carry all the time get a para 2. I think it is the perfect edc folder

Yeah, you get used to it after awhile.

I think a 4" blade is normal size.

It is the perfect EDC for me. Just like Yab said, when i bought my first military (Digi cam) it looked so huge, but after awhile it seems perfect. I have carried the M4 version EVERY day since I got it from knifeworks. Can't wait until my m390's are ready for delivery.

I love the Millie, carry one all the time and have two on pre order. I say give one a try.

Speaking about the Military, in this months American Handgunner, there is an article about Spyderco. But in two pictures of the Persian they labeled it the Military. Oops.

I sent my Military out to get um, "embellished". It doesn't need it, but among all my knives, it's the first one I've felt that deserved it.

The Military is one of the finest cutting tools ever made. So much versatility it's hard to explain. I've done everything from cutting holes in drywll to chopping veggies for a meal with mine. This knife will become a classic as time goes by.

I'm a sucker for the Military. I EDC one as often as possible although I'm careful where I deploy it due to that big, sharp, scary blade:)
Gigantic performance for so light and thin a knife. Every man deserves a Military.

I was one of those who would not have had a Military if you had given me one. Oh, what a fool I was!
Everything that has been said of the Military, the good things that is, have all proven true. I'm not sure there is a more trusted linerlock in the knife industry than that found on the Military. Once I finally broke down and purchased a Military, I got the titanium version, I found out just how sharp a blade can be as it comes from the factory, and how well a flat grind can slice. It is a big knife, but that is a plus for me as I generally carry larger sized folders, and a smaller slipjoint for you know who.

Now I'm like the other Spyderfan's and say that everyone ought to buy a Military!!
