Hi blue Jays,

The thing is I dont know what gadget people ,who have much developed taste and knowledge than I have, consider a good wallet.

I want something that will hold notes with out sticking out.
Maybe hold some coins
cards
does not slip out
maybe have some cool or gadget value.

Whatever really, I am open to anythihng.

Thanks :)

There are designs available for a Duct tape wallet. You can find them made of cordura nylon.

T.H.E. wallet from Spec-Ops.
Best customer service I have yet seen.

The problem with T.H.E. Wallet as I see it is, it doesn't really hold much more than much smaller wallets. Why carry the bulk when it's unnecessary?

I've seen some nice 'compression' wallets before. Similar to a buisness card case, but larger, and made to compress bills and reciepts to a thinner profile when you close it.

Which would be a big plus for me. I have to make purchases for work all the time, so my wallet often has more recipts than money in it.

I'm looking around at some of those links.

Men's clothing isn't designed right. You get what, a maximum of five pockets in a pair of jeans? I'm running out of pockets.

Back left: wallet. Front right: keys, chapstick. Front left: cigarettes and lighter. Change pocket: pocket knife. Back right: loose bills, recipts, notes.

I swear I'm going to break down and wear a utility belt. I'm not old enough to wear a fanny pack.

I bought the "All-ett" world's thinnest wallet based on recommendations from here, and three or so months in I'm pretty happy with it. The thin "sail cloth" nylon crinkled a lot at first--very annoying--but it quieted down after a while, and I do like the thin profile, front pocket carry that it enables.

T.H.E. Wallet from Spec-Ops.
Yup. I've had mine for at-least a couple years now (black, full-size), and it still looks as good as new. It'll hold EVERYTHING, including the kitchen sink!...

Actually, you might get a piece of the kitchen sink in there, but it's not much good at holding cards. I had so many cards in each slot, they were too tight to access easily. There was a huge amount of space, in the bill compartment for example, that was wasted. And I didn't like the way the bill compartment was oriented. Also, the tiny zippered area was too small and inconveniently located for small change. The whole wallet was way too large for what I had for it to carry.

Again a great recommendation from the forum members. I found a good deal on eBay for the Spec. Ops. T.H.E. Wallet. My Mont Blanc started falling apart recently (just had it a few months) and realized I wanted a good wallet this time around. Hope I get it with no problems. I've been having some problems with some Internet vendors and sellers on eBay so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I have a SpecOps THE Wallet, it's nice, durable, and you can carry everything you want in it. The downside, IMHO, is that it's big. I got tired of lugging it around.

I ended up going to the opposite extreme, and got an All-Ett. I'm totally stoked on this one - super light, carries about 12 cards, cash, ID, and I can carry it comfortably in my front pocket or manpurse.

Which one did you have ? There is a small model and a large model , I have the large and it holds a lot , I have a bad habit of letting it fill up with junk until it is like 2 inches thick.

A trucker's chain wallet serves my needs well. I pay mainly with cash and it can hold lots of cash on one side compartment. On the other side I keep my credit cards ID and such. The chain keeps me in constant contact with my wallet and keeps it secure.
