I think I remember Jk saying he was going to "clean up" his line-up and I was just wondering what knives you'l all be ordering next? Better yet what knives are you going to order if/when you get the money etc, Cause i have this feeling that September drop off is a "soft" date, :p

I don't know the order yet, but:
Riverwoods
EDC kephart
2 custom designs (because my wife was smart/foolish enough to ask "so where's Sam and Iris's knife designs?" :D)

and if Jk is willing and a Bushcrafter or Hiker, I want both but can only say for certain that I'll get one...eventually at least.

hope you all having a good day, I'm still procrastinating and avoiding marking summer finals, as you can probably tell :p

I'll be sending John a template for a new design in the near future.

I have my viKtim #10. I have been wanting a RN9, a Galley Wag in snakewood would be nice, Toby's knife, Stubs - lots of options!

best

HudsonBay XL for the win!(but I am a bit biased)
If I didn't have the HBXL I'd get a Lobo.

I think for October I'll get the design I submitted for the anni knife contest.

Always remember, our wives are always smarter than us!

Well I need to replace my phoenix now (by far one of my absolute favorite woods blades but Hanna was definitely worth the sacrifice) and I'm thinking I need a dang good kitchen knife too

Getting my Viktim this month. i have a Toby's knife ordered for August. Then?

I liked T's Stubs model. I will have to think about that though because i have the LRK+ and my custom SWK (semi wharncliffe kephart) that is in (roughly) the same size. of course, i also want a full-size kephart, which has about the same specs as the Viktim...so go figure.

KYe...i'm with you on the bushcrafter. that was one i was deciding on when i ordered the Viktim.

BUT...i think kitchen use has to be next for me. Love that kitchen knife john showed in his "oldies" thread. i also still want to order some dedicated steak knives from John. i'll have to look at my anniversary steak knife design and tweak it a bit.

good thread peter. you got me thinking now.

I'm long passed being able to think of each knife having a certain role, I have too may edc knives for that, but I know what you mean about the kitchen knife, I have to get a good couple, the JKTK makes a nice paring knife for me, but it isn't exactly a chopper, :p

i forget the specs on that, but i am going to ask john to do my TK in 1/16" stock. i think i mentioned that to you a while ago, now that i think about it. want that thing to be a nice little slicer.

I was looking back through the forum at pictures, of course, and it seems i post a thread like this every time I'm having a hard time deciding on the next one :p,

I've got 3 coming yet this year:

In August I've got a RUSK coming.

In October I've got a Toby's knife coming.

In November I've got a Galley Wag coming.

I really like the Kitchen knife and the Bushcrafter - so I'm guessing those will be ordered for next year sometime.

I'm also thinking that I need another JKCBK at some point - probably in Micarta so I'll be less inclined to worry about damaging the handles.

I'm thinking of ordering an EWOK and a Kitchen Knife next. JKs are the nicest knives I own, and the most useful as well.

I've got to be honest about the RUSK - I don't remember.

I know that sounds funny if not foolish, but I saw a picture of the RUSK on John's website and just loved it. The picture is no longer there and I do not remember much about the knife, other than the fact that I have one on order.

That's probably a good thing; as seeing the picture (when John posts it) will be a surprise to me. It's almost as though I'm getting a present that I really know nothing about.

I suppose that could be called "Looking at the bright side of growing old and forgetful."
