So, what was your coolest non-knife X-mas gift?

Garmin eTrex Vista HCX. Looking forward to a little warmer weather and our next family outing!

I got myself an early Christmas present (got it in early December) which was a Sig Sauer P220R. The wife got me some .45 ACP ammo last week so everything came together:D.

Mrs. So-Lo and Me went halfs in on a 56' High Def big screen.........:D

So I had to get a PS3.......to play High Def blu-ray DVDs...yeah thats the reason I had to get it...:D

Got a really nice breadmaker, a Riedel crystal decanter and half a dozen Riedel wine glasses, a case of Ch Musar 2000 to put away, and a lot of other stuff. But I really like this oval-shaped Sigg drinks bottle and cup!

Lucky dog! I love SIG pistols dude. Wish I could afford one. If I bought one for myself my wife would shoot me with it!

I got an Enfield rifle......No 4 Mk II to be exact. It has been rebarreled to a .444 marlin. That is like a .44 magnum with a rifle length casing. My new pig gun!

I bought myself a BSA red dot 42mm for it.

Not only did I get the rifle, but I got a reloading kit with it, complete with brass, primers, and bullets. I got some good family over here.

Garmin Nuvi 260. :-)

I set it to the sexy "British Lady" voice. She gets kinda peeved though everytime I don't follow her directions. Geeze, I can get that from the wife...

This helmet:

Now I can retire three helmets (rescue, bicycling, snowboarding) and just use one.

Nice helmet Crucible! I was just wondering... do you guys really find poliestirene helmets appropiate for rescue/alpine climbing? I have one made from Salewa that I use for sport climbing and some ice climbing but whenever I am going to be out for a while... or climbing long alpine climbs... I always take my trusty Petzl Ecrin Rock... tough as nails though a little heavy. I just feel that poliestirene helmets are ok when you expect not to be hit more than once. Once the helmet has been hit by a rock or whatever... you have to retire it... and who can tell you are not going to take more than one hit if a rockfall happens?

A jewelry box with the power strip for charging all the geek toys, cherry with brushed nickel hardware. Slots on the back for the PDA, readers, pocket notebook, four felt lined power slots on top for phone, etc, and three drawers up front. It matches the 31 day bill payer on the other side of the dresser, which has a really nice big drawer under for all the jewelry, challenge coins, etc.

It's all very organized now, and there's no room for any clutter, which was the real agenda, I think.

An authentic navy G-1 leather jacket that I am making into a flying tigers jacket.

Mikel,

You're absolutely correct about the limitations of polystyrene helmets for multiple impacts.

Fore that very reason I still take a Petzl Ecrin roc or its equivalentg, the Petzl Vertex with me on alpine climbs. These types of helmets also tend to last longer when they are strapped to the outside of your pack during the approach.

I will use the Camp Pulse on shorter day trips where if it does get crushed, then we go home.

Nice to find another climber here in Bladeforums... ¿when are you going to invite me for ice climbing season? :D Here the weather sucks... not cold enough in the Pirinees... not enough snow in Picos de Europa... and The Alps are quite far away (like 10 hour drive).

My gf bought me a set of 8 stainless steel chopsticks, as well as the first season of Dexter on DVD.

Technically knife related, I also received a SwissMemory 256mb from the gf's parents.
