So what's the sharpest factory Busse you have

The AK from the last Ganzaa that everyone is talking about, that wouldn't be the satin AK with the black/tan handle is it?

Straight from the factory...Blade 08 Sarsquatch!!!!

That thing could cut time!!!! it has the "grab" just like the edge of a box cutter....like if you move it "any more" and it will open you!!!!

Straight from Busse, ie. being the original owner??? Hmmm...

Out of mine, the runner-ups listed in no real order as they are all close to being the same in sharpness:

Most of the competition series, particularly the SJTAC's and HR's... Yowza!
Ganza AK
CG BATAC's (My user has to be the real runner up, or definitely within the top 3 of this group with its original edge)
The jungle green FFBM's
The "Shiv Warden"
The "Drunken Duty"
My Thin NICK variant
Rucks
SFNOLE's
NMSFNOLE's

The sharpest??? Without a doubt, these ganza SHSHV's have edges that are just perfect or damn close to it, especially the one on the left....

I got to agree with you, those were bad a$$ sharp!!!

.

No doubt, my FBMSE has/had the sharpest factory edge out of all my blades. I was fondling err, admiring it the other day and didn't notice it had left about 5 little slices in my left hand until the next day. Now that's sharp...

+1

but my 2008 Blade CE SJTAC is a close second

SAR4 LE, but I am not totally satisfied with the sharpness of Busses as they are being delivered. But then again, INFI is fairly easy to sharpen and the edge retention is also OK.

The SE competition blades from Blade 08 were the sharpest factory or Custom knives I have ever seen. All of them I felt seemed as scary sharp as a Banned blade.

I picked up the HR and SQ, and they are with out a dought the sharpest I've had.

Well it sure as heck was not the Busse Ash-1 that I have. I had to really work on that thing to get it to cut.

Undoubtedly the sharpest was a Benchmade 49-01 with it's zero bevel edge. It sure won't chop like the ASH-1 but you don't want to run your finger down the edge.

In a fixed blade it would probably be this Begg Clandestine Fighter.

My sharpest "out of the box" Busse was my FBMLE. It was stupid sharp when I first got it. It's done one hell of a lot of work, but it's still pretty sharp. I've never sharpened it, and it will still shave hair on the lesser-used parts of the blade. My Comp. Jackhammer was pretty sharp too.

I have to say, I own a lot of Busses, but a lot of them were not exactly what you would call "sharp" out of the box. Nothing like the screaming edge that say, Spyderco ships their knives with. Although Busse is generally working with one heck of a lot more steel than anything Spyderco puts out.

My Sar4 LE and HG-55 LE ,,,,,,, came super sharp from Busse, and my BAD , of course(which is designed as a slicer),,,,,, most all other Busse blades come with a strong working edge,,,,rather than being air-bleeding slicers

The 08 SE Competition Sarsquatch hands down.

But this one rivals the comp edge now...
I sent it back into Garth for a convex edge, and it's SCARY sharp!
