So what's the skinny on the Rodent 4 (411)?

Hey guys. Anybody have a Rodent 4 (411) yet? How do you like it? What does it offer that an RMD or a HRLM doesn't? I have an HRLM and I've been considering an RMD because everyone loves them, but I rarely use anything bigger than a 4". Your perspectives and experiences are appreciated. Regards – WB
 
I'm DOGHOUSE BOUND.... I ordered the Swamp's Rodent 9 and Rodent 4 the other day - as well as - The Scrap Yard's 711 AND 511.... have no idea when they'll get here..... but am drooling none the same......
 
Now that's loyalty. My wife should take a lesson.... Wait, she might see this!!!
 
Let me know if I need to lock the thread and destroy all evidence ;) Keep us updated on that 4.
 
I'll post pics from my secret knife lair (location unbeknownst to the better half) upon arrival.
 
The Yard 311's are landing, hope that means the Swamp 411's are next!
 
I Got word on my 711 & 511 that it will be anywhere between 2 - 8 weeks. Man it's hard to be patient
 
Got my 311 yesterday. It's a little dull but not for long. This thing really does feel great in the hand. I'm thinking that I would like to have it polished and convexed. Anybody know of a forum member/service provider that will put a full convex on it?

Norcalblacktail does nice work. He did my M9 and it came out great.
 
I'm not sure if norcalblacktail is doing sharpening work these days. But you're right. His convexing skills (and blade finishing skills) are absolutely first rate.

Yeah, I really like his work. I sent him an email but I haven't heard anything back yet.

I think Nate's on to other projects at the moment. I'd suggest you give Richard J a try.
 
I just got word from the Swamp. 2 - 6 weeks for the Rodent 9 and 4. I've never been so impatient in my life!! Come on, bring the rodents!!!!!!
 
Well, Richard J is going to hook me up. I'm sending the 311 and a Gen II Howling Rat out to him for a convex and a satin finish. Super nice fellow. Thanks again for the heads up guys.
