Greg45 - you clearly enjoy Islay's if you like Laphroaig. If you ever find yourself staring at a 15 year old in a shop then consider buying it. All the flavor of the 10 year old but with a smoother ending. Another couple of personal favorites are Lagavulin and Ardbeg. Ardbeg can be a little over the peat top sometimes though.
I agree that Laphroaig 10 year old is one of the best bangs for your buck in single malts out there today.
Just bottled my own beer today - a nice little cervasa styled kit. Tipping my glass to you HOGs out there even though I haven't quite joined your club (yet)...
Is it wierd that I only feel like an alcoholic when I'm drinking malt liquor or $13 a gallon whiskey? Haha, I guess for most they're only one step away from a parkbench when they're drinking that stuff. I still have a taste for Old English....started drinking it when I was around 13 so maybe it's more of an emotional attachment.
