So whats your favorite EDC?

In my perfect world. I wish I can carry my Buck 110 in plain sight 24/7, using it anytime anywhere I want without even getting any negative attention. :grumpy:

My favorite EDC? Hmm. One of my SAK's. Even though I don't own any other knives yet, when I finally do, I still don't see them replacing my SAK for EDC.

Spyderco (large version) Persian

This one knocked my 732 Ares out of regular EDC rotation. A great, understated knife.

I have to say I am partial to the EKI 7b 2k model year for an edc. But yesterday I rec. a para military and that just might unseat my 7 for edc. I have a large choice of folders to carry and if I am going to get fancy it'll my Lightfoot mag 460. I have also carried the mannix and the mili and I had a commander that was great too. But mostly my 7b or now the para. keepem sharp

My budget is less than $150. I am looking for a nice EDC. I was looking at the Benchmades (specifically Griptilians in D2 and the Ritter Griptilian). But I am now thinking that I need to expand my search. I like the Benchmade 420, but it looks a little chunky. Thanks for any of your thoughts.
I just got and traded a bm420 and you are correct, its very chunky. I liked the knife very much but the handles seemed way thicker then needed. My fav edc folder is a para-mil paired with a sak and usually a small fb either micro canadien from BRKT or Swamp Rat rattail hopefully a busse heavy duty soon.

I usually carry these: Calypso,Jr., my RRF, and Sebbie. I am incapable of leaving the house with out my Caly, Jr. The RRF simply rocks. And the Sebbie speaks for itself.

Usually I carry a Spyderco Caly ZDP or a Spyderco C05 standard PE. Those are my faves.

I am leaning towards a Griptilian, but just trying to figure out if I should get the Mini or Full size

Get a Mini Ritter.
You won't look back!

(but you'll probably end up buying the full sized too)

i really like the benchmade 705-401 (see pic). limited edition, but you can probably still find one somewhere. size is great for ease of carry, mid-sized utility, and this knife makes me want more 154cm steel knives. it is similar to the size of the mini griptilian. the bigger version of this is the 710, which is what some prefer, if you want something more comparable to the regular griptilian. the g10 scales on the 705 are a lot nicer than the griptilian's scales, IMO (although i do like the griptilian too). especially the silver g10 on the knife shown below. the scales are layered g10 in resin, which looks as if it were a grey carbon fiber. the light hits it really nicely, picture doesn't really show this well.

on the 705-401 the scales are smooth. im not sure but i think on the 710 they are textured for extra grip.

this is one of the companies that the knife was originally made for:
