BTW, Balishow 2001 was incredible.
I was scheduled to leave Atlanta at 2:10pm but, at 2:10pm, the plane was still in Panama. So, I was rebooked on a 7:15pm departure and even upgraded me to First Class.
That gave me some five hours to wait.
The Atlanta airport was very crowded, very noisey, and very busy. I don't like noisey, busy crowds. I was quite on the verge of panic when I spotted the door open to a little room with just a few chairs in it. I took refuge and started to organize my notes from the show.
About an hour later, a woman arrived and informed me that I couldn't sit in this room. This room is reserved for passengers needing assistance. As I begged to stay in the nice quite room, a man came in and said, "Let me see your ticket." I handed it to him. He said, "First class... of course you can stay here," and grabbed the bad woman and pulled her out. It took me most of the rest of the four hours to get all of my notes compiled during which several other people were parked in the quite room for short times, none of whom spoke english. I loved the little room.
I enjoyed four gin and tonics, a nice steak, some passible Merlot, an Icecream sunday, some nice scotch, and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, on the flight.
The point being that there was so much balisong activity at the show that it took me five quite hours to get my notes all in shape.
