I was at the SFO on Sept 25 and it was not there. Before we left Colorado we stopped there again on Oct 2 and the Karahawk proto was on display with an ETA that was relatively soon. A sign might have said November, but don't quote me. I might have a picture of it; I will check.
I know Spyderco is doesn't like to give ETAs, so don't blame them if I am wrong!
I got to handle the knife and was impressed with the quality/fit and the secure grip. I don't know anything about karambits though, as a disclaimer. The use of liners to create a finger-hole is pretty cool. There is some flex to the liners, but I suppose that is normal and a non-issue.
