So who burnt themselves this weekend

I burn myself every day. What? You guys don't work with hot steel?

I had a nice, mellow weekend. I loaded my float tube and fly rod in the back of my brand new Subaru Forester and spent the days harassing the panfish from my big floating easy-chair.

I never even lit the barbeque all weekend, so I didn't burn my weiner.

Stay sharp,

Not me, I handle unstable explosives as part of my job.. I'll let the kids handle the sharp and hot stuff:D:

I spent the 4th in the town that time forgot, Orient Washington.

It's fireworks display was not arranged by city, nor a local merchant....

No, all the residents chipped in.

I was surrounded on three sides by 6 mortar emplacements, in addition to many smaller displays.

I just about got whiplash trying to watch them all.

It was fun.

Golok in full chopping effect this weekend. (not all of that of course, you silly!)

well dang. Thats all i have. We had ALOT of fun shooting glock 19 and 23, a chinese AK, 22 and .223 galor. Fished like crazy, caught some great small mouth, and I hardly had my camera for any of it. Shame on me. But there are alot of nice pictures from others that make up for it!

We hung out by the pool (did get burned) and barbecued ribs. Its a fun time to be a dad right now. The oldest is finally swimming like a fish.

Sure is.... Its worth the trip.... Really neat.

Where bouts you at in MO?

I'm up north in the boonies near Columbia. My buddies and I try to make it down there at least once a year.. I know we've got a Bass Pro right here, but it just isn't the same!

I spent the weekend on my family's farm in West Virginia- aka: Redneck Heaven. It was beyond incredibly fun. We had a big bonfire/ cookout/ fireworks party and drunken rampage on the 4th. My uncle brought a couple of cases of 12 ga. signal flares which transformed my Remington 870 into the world's most awesome roman candle.

I burned through more than a few brain cells with the local moonshine- ouch. Sunday was rough.

When my Dad was drunk, I managed to convince him to part with a chunk of his ammo stockpile- So +/- 1100 rounds of .45ACP came home with me. I had to get him back- last time we drank together, he convinced me to give him my Busse NMFBM. Which is now mounted next to the seat on his tractor- for trail maintenance duty.

We did a TON of shooting over the weekend, and a good bit of fishing too. Good times.

I burned the @#$% out of myself, but not from fireworks. I was using a pressure washer at work and it turned off. I grabbed the pull cord and sat my other hand on the washer for leverage for the coming pull. Unfortunately, I was retarded and sat my hand on the damn exhaust box on top of the engine that was now white hot from running for a couple of hours straight. Everyone within a 3 mile radius had to go to church because of the things they heard come out of my mouth.

Got rained in for the fourth, luckily we had a covered porch and a full bag of charcoal, I made some mean ribs.

Ouch! Bet that took a nice chunk of skin off, didn't it? I did that with a chainsaw several years ago. I was wearing shorts and nailed my leg with the exhaust. A nice chunk of flesh about the size of a dollar-pancake was attached to the chainsaw when I yanked it away. Left a cool scar too. :barf:

The hands are the worst part of your body to burn- (except for maybe the private parts) the concentration of nerves in your hands is unreal- and they're always moving. Hope you heal fast!

Red Rhino's Run Hadji Run fireworks raised a smile. It's refreshing that people can still express humor in the face of adversity. Good on the Wisconsins.
