i'm sitting on financial pins and needles waiting for it... i have another move coming up, and a full 18 units of college tuition looming

...its certainly not making an 700-800$ expenditure look pleasent...

it may seem like it wouldnt matter if it was spent now, or in 2 months - but it does if i spend the money meant for the hogfbmle in the mean time :(


im thinking im going to have to sell one of my 2 steal hearts to pay for it... and i dont wanna :grumpy:

and the war boar has been up since 2/27/06...


im normally the first to back busse on their production schedule (go at your own pace).... but i just want it sooo bad....
 
Pull extra student loans....use grant money....donate plasma........whatever it takes. As they say NO REGRETS!!! You can also bum money in the student union.

im speaking of the hogfbmle price (the 3/8" thick satin ground edition). the regular fbm will more then likely be in the low to mid 400's.

wouldnt be suprised if it was 397$

Thus far I've sold....well let's not get into numbers but let's just say I've unloaded a large portion of my Busse collection and in part it is to afford to buy the famed, long awaited FBM. I've only been waiting a little over a year for it...some of you have been waiting over 3 years! :( :eek:

BTW...has it been confirmed that the HO version is going to be 3/8" thick? I still find it hard to imagine....my thoughts are that it's wishful thinking and the HO will be the normal 5/16".

Ok, got it. Wow, 3/8" with a satin finish, that'll be a helluva knife.
 
As a noob to Busse steel, I've also been patiently waiting for the fbm for my first piece of infi. I may have to pull the trigger for an AK47 or a used HH if it takes much longer.
 
I'm new here too and the FBM is the Busse I'm waiting for and hoping I'll have the cash for when it arrives.
 
Bryan and I got us some rusty old cars and alder to chop up so, . . . let's get the show on the road!

i dont think the thickness has been specifically confirmed from jerry himself in a reproducable way (at least, he hasnt said anything here).... but i hope there will be :D

there seems to be a decent amount of people ready to pay for extra thick blades.

i'd like it to be 1/2" honestly.

and i dream of a 3/4" version....
 
5/16" is plenty thick for the HOGBM, I've been waiting AT LEAST 3 years, if not longer, and I just want one to match my HOGFSH, and I just hope Jerry will offer the same options as the HOGFSH, then maybe he will make an extra HOGBM for you dudes that want 1/2" or whatever;) I don't see the reason for using anything thicker than 5/16", except for fondling and looking at. I need 5/16" users Jerry:thumbup: Come on Jerry, BRING IT, as you guys like to say:D , we're not getting any younger:yawn:

weight. makes it a heavier chopper for heavier thicker limbs and wood work.

to get it closer to my khukuries :D

one of my favorite items is a bhutan sword at 9/16" thick, about the same length as the new battle mistress, but still maneagable and a great chopper.

essentially, it ceases to be a knife and becomes a chopping implement. i wouldnt want anything i planned on using to open boxes to be 1/2" thick, but if all i was going to do with it is chop wood, it comes down to my bodies ability to weiled it over an extended period of time.


if i had the money, i'd like to get a 1/4" version, and a 3/8 version, but since i only have one option, i'll go with the 3/8" thick. i have the basic 9 and the hogfsh to fill the gap from the missing 1/4" fbm.
