Just did my daily scan through the common sites and I noticed the XM 18 3.5 slicers are back in stock with most of them. Newer configurations like battle bronze/blue too! Didnt see anyone else talking about it so I thought i'd bring it up. MAN I'd love to get my hands on one of those. Alas... I'm on the "trade/sell" end of my usual cycle. Curse the luck. Anybody pick one up? Or planning to? I'd love to see pics and/or hear your thoughts!

*The pic is from a particular dealer most of you will recognize by the background, but I dont know the rules about pics with dealer logos/names, so I just used their non labled image for reference. Not sure if this particular dealer actually has these. But others definitely do.*

Got one...

Love it, swapped the scale to a texture carbon fiber one and love it even more. The detent on mine is perfect, reminds me of the detent on my old 550.

I can see that being a really great knife. The angle of the XM grip works perfectly with that grind, especially sans the flipper that can reach a cutting board during food prep. I think one of those thinned out behind the edge by a REK regrind would be awesome.

I snagged one. It's identical to the OP's pic, except mine's in full working finish and not battle bronze. I'll toss on some bronze standoffs after it arrives. I love the way bronze ano looks with OD on Hinderers. It should be here Friday. Pretty stoked about it.

Glad to hear about the detent on these, Whitty. The vid from the dealer where I purchased echoed a similar sentiment.

Officer's Match, you read my mind on an REK regrind! Seriously considering sending mine off to Josh after a little pocket time.

i got one too. not having a flipper tab actually makes the forward choil better. i agree that the action is similar to my 550.

I agree that bronze ano and OD is an excellent combo.
I had an XM in my pocket all day in that configuration.

Glad to see they brought back the non-flippers. I haven't tried this latest batch, but the previous ones were fantastic knives.

Really wish they would release some other blades (not that the slicer isn't a great one). But with that said, this might be my ideal knife at this point. I'm down to 6 knives--GEC #14, Infidel, Stryker 908BK-1501, ZT0630CF, Fatty Harpoon, and this one--and my Hinderers (specifically this one) are a big reason why.

Ordered 2! black with blue lockside and a black with bronze lock side, should have em saturday
