A visiting resident kami discovered that we were interested in a forward curving khukuri. OK, if that's what you want I'll make you a couple you won't forget. And here's one of them. Came in today. No. They did not send name or village kami is from. "Village Kami" and that's it. Maybe Kami Sherpa will give us a name when he gets here.

Overall length just over 18 inches, about 2 & 1/4 inches wide, almost 7/16 inch thick. Weight 2 pounds. Marked "Nepal" in English on back of blade. No serial, no HI markings. Even karda and chakma are hatchmarked like an 18th Century! Blade decorated as shown in closeup. Excellently hardened and fine finish. Scabbard and frog nicely done. Handle is white streaked buffalo horn. This khukuri carries the usual blessing that goes with HI khukuris. Kami has more info on blessing when he comes.

This is what we are going to see with the visiting kami program -- a never ending bunch of unique sizes and styles. There will be something new coming in every shipment I suspect from now on. I like it.

Price is $175 and you won't find another khukuri anywhere close to this quality for the price.

Call or email.

Wow...that's absolutely stunning! If I hadn't ordered one of the "Ganga Ram specials" I would be sorely tempted to snap up this one (who am I kidding...I'm still tempted!). But I must be strong...I'll place my in trust old Ganga Ram. I'm sure that the ancient master will forge an exquisite blade! That sure is a beautiful khukuri, though...sigh

So many khukuris, so little money...

Hi Jim:

Whoever he was this kami knew what he was doing. This is a fine knife. I can see how a few strong young sledge swingers and a couple of power tools are going to make a huge difference in time required for manufacture and the final results. The karda and chakma are some of the best I've ever seen.

Uncle Bill

Stunning. Gorgeous. Amazing.

If this is what the visiting kami program gets us I am all for it! and if the shop 2 kamis happened to notice how it was done, that would be great too.

Namaste,
Jeff Paulsen

Thank the Ones that Be that this Kami never paid any attention when he was told that "Tic Tac Toe" would never amount to anything.

One beautiful blade.
I can only agree and say this is gonna be the best of all worlds.

Uncle we had talked before about how labor intensive the 18th.Century is.
This is incredible.I can only wonder how long and how.
We know that these are hand engraved when the blades are hot enough to take a line.I can only wish my eyesight was that good.

That khukuri is cool.

I love the variety these village kamis are bringing.

--Uncle Bill--I just picked up RB this morning (I had been out of town) and am quite pleased. Looking forward to testing him and putting him through his paces!

X's and O's. Hugs and Kisses....

(And here I was getting bored enough to start looking at a Del Tin Cinquedea to go along with my four foot tall 38 1/2" bladed DT #2142 Hand-and-a-half sword.)

Oh, I puckered up alright, but you don't want to know the details. Trust me on this.

I'm still glad to see you back posting here anyway, Ghost. If you're not too late to get it, it'll be properly cared for and appreciated.

The knife was gone last night via phone call about five minutes after I closed shop. It came with some sister knives, very similar but different blade etching or marking and I'll try to get a couple of these posted a little later.

Many thanks for the interest. I will send the comments back to Nepal and try to get them to the kami whoever he might be.

I got another shipment yesterday and I can see that we have more than one village kami in the shop. I'll be posting more pix later today when I get caught up. Interesting stuff and great workmanship.

Pakcik Bill - I think I love this forward curving shaped khukuri - but ...

1) For the time being my current saving is more for 18" @ 19" 18 Century - and I have logged my name for GRS, Chespeake and Kagas Katne as well.

2) I still do not know the whereabout of my Silver Mounted Dhakuta + Chainpuri - BTW have you make an official enquiry to USPS regarding the shipment of those two khukuris?

3) I just prefer HI khukuris because of their best finish - the H.I. logo in Devanagari also makes the HI khukuris look more unique!

Anyhow - Insyaa-Allaah! I'll wait for the future HI version of this forward curving shaped khukuri!

Mohd, I hve not checked with the USPS yet. They usually tell me I must wait at least 45 days.

Uncle Bill

Bill found one for me. I`LL post when I get a good chance to check it out, but it looks good.

For those who do not know, I personally believe the ghost has a special microscope he uses to examine knives, guns, anything he buys. If there is a flaw that 100 people will miss the ghost will find it.

Further, he tests knives about the way Cliff does. If this knife meets with ghost's Stamp of approval (I just couldn't resist that one)you can rest assured it is a knife of exceptional merit.

"It came with some sister knives... different markings..."

One of those sisters, ohmigod! Just see the sun, moon and stars thread. Will have to send Bill a picture to post.

I call them companion knives, but there is an "official" word. I supose. The chakma isn`t really even a knife.
