Can anyone relate? Not sure if I will keep both. I just got the large Insingo today in the mail. I love it. Amazing knife/blade. It is slightly used. Great condition. Now I'm thinking it's too big for an EDC. A sometimes carry, but not everyday. I think people would get a little nervous if I pulled this out. hmm I'm hooked though! Love CRK.

I'd say get the small. It's a bit more people friendly if you're apt to wield it in public.
It has ample cutting surface due to the shape of the Insingo blade.
If for some reason, you find it too small after using it, it will be an easy sell.

Woohoo, I get to quote myself :D
Both are nice though!

I carry a Large Sebenza or Umnumzaan as my EDC but I do usually have a Mnandi or other small folder in my pocket somewhere.

Relate to what, exactly?

Too large for EDC? A Large Sebenza is often the "medium" knife in my small-medium-large EDC set. I think that more cool people whipping out a large knife in public would be a good thing. Sheeple need to get over it.

Why did I know that you would do that? Haha Yes I agree. I will say it....touche'!

Yeah sorry about that. Having both is probably ideal. It would be great to have both to try them then sell one if you prefer one over the other.

I just got the small insigno micarta. My grail knife.

Two weeks ago.

So now, of course I'm deciding on what inlay I want for a small regular.

It's a cancer, in a good way. No offense anyone! The micarta looks amazing....

I agree! Except for LEO and local knife laws. Tear

Maybe im just lucky but im well within my local knife laws to carry my Large Sebenzas (yup, plural, man im fortunate). As far as the sheeple's, SO WHAT?! They don't stop us from spending our money on em, why let em stop us from putting em to good use?

I say carry that sucker with pride and use it every chance you get!

As long as it's within the legal limits of the law to carry, who cares what people think?

Hmmm... I still like the large better so I might be more incline to buy a second or even third large. But that might be because I think the small is a bit too small for me. They are just harder for me to open or thumb out.

You labeling people "sheeple" means you already know they aren't going to get over it. Please use some tact when being an ambassador for the knife community. Proper knife use means not behaving like a silly mall ninja. Large knives don't have to be scary, so if you act with some decorum people will be far more receptive to large knives and then beautiful knives likes large sebenzas won't seem so scary. We must work on non-knife people one at a time.

Eh why deny the inevitable. Go ahead and get yourself a small;)

Ha. Thanks. Me thinks this might be my first impulse buy. How many of us have over-researched/over-thought a knife purchase only to be disappointed a lot. It might be the impulse that gets it right, finally.

Seriously, all joking aside, the only way to develop genuine comfort in decisions like this is to take real world data. Take one of each size and carry them both, use them both, as often as possible. Swap them around in pockets and sheaths. Cut stuff. Slice tomatoes. Do not be swayed by aesthetics. Put another way, use like for like. Do not have a Small with Micarta and a Large with Mammoth Bark Ivory with a Damascus blade. Yes, this needs to be done with both, simultaneously. I dare say that you will come to appreciate the merits of both. And if you decide that it is definitely one size versus the other and not both, one good thing about Sebenzas is that with proper care due any expensive tool, they hold remarkable resale value.

Just do it. And do not be surprised if you perfect EDC turns out to be a Nyala and not a Sebenza.

I would love to have both. Just so expensive :( Don't get me wrong, you get what you pay for :)
