Soaking bone in kerosene makes it transparent?

Thought I saw that here at one time and was wondering how long you need it to soak and how transparent it becomes.

just an idea , well won't a visual check be easier . as thickness vary from what you are soaking .

Soaking bone in kerosene will make it stink!
I would try hydrogen peroxide, but bone will never be transparent.

yeh agree bone stink if not treated well
