So... if the man upstairs has His way, I'll be celebrating my AA birthday on 1-7-15. I decided to have a special knife made for that day. A 5.5" AXD. I already got the greenlight from Darrel. I'll be hanging out with him this weekend at the Plaza show and will give him the drawing and a down payment then.

Congratulations. While I didn't utilize AA, I did quit drinking and have been sober for 19 years. It's hard, and occasionally treating yourself to something special helps you keep committed.

Congratulations Matt, 1 second, 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, a whole lifetime. It all starts with that first second.

Congrats! I think that will make a fantastic knife and serve as a great reminder for your accomplishment.

I'm becoming quite the DDR collector. I'm carrying the knife on the bottom at the moment.

Looks like I'm gonna have to sell the one off KFF on top to fund this new knife... oh well.

Good job man. I'm 12-6-2000 myself. Too bad you can't fit to thine own self be true on it. I like that one.

Hi Matt, Congratulations on your continuing abstinence. I am a little confused by the clip placement on your modified CUDA. I thought you said you carry right handed, tip up, flipper ready. The knife in the picture looks like a left hand set up, but I haven't had my second cup of coffee.

Matt tends to carry two blades, one in each front pocket. I imagine this knife would be set up to fit his left side. Search out his video where he demonstrates the deployment of his...dammit, I forget who made 'em. He has (or had) a matched set of these big nasty waved folders. He has a vid where he opens them both at once.

Edit: HA! Here ya go!

Daltons...of course! LOL

I draw forward into reverse grip. This knife is in my right front pocket.

It's not a modified Cuda either... full custom ;)

I love the Charley Mike draw. It's fun as hell. Watch out though you'll find yourself drawing in public. Scare some yuppie who'll call the police. LOL

"Life is a Special Occasion" Tried to read the back of that paper.

Congrats on heading towards the 1-year mark. Great-looking knife! (knives)
