OK, guys, please enlighten this poor fool. What's an SOCFK? Is that Ernie's Specwar, with a different acronym? What's is mean? Special Operations Command Folding Knife?

Now, before I call him, and make a total ass of myself over the phone, how do you pronounce SOCFK? Is it like "sock" and you just drop the "f", or do you say the letters: S-O-C-F-K?

Steve pronounces "SOCFK", "SOCK". It can be kind of interesting holding a quick conversation with Steve and your talking "SOCKs" and "SARKs".

But there again, around here the "Police Utility Knife" is the "Puke".

I'd love to help you out on the green SOCFK, But I only have one.

GUYS! You won't believe this!

I just called the VA branch of Extereme Outfitters. They not only had the SOCFK in stock, they JUST got in some green-t's!!! I talked to Donald there, and he said he'd hand pick the lowest serial number they had, and he's even waiving the $10 charge for phone orders. Give these guys your business, people! They are the BEST!

My wishlist? God - I'd be poor if I could get THAT! Let's see - I'd love a CQC6, a custom CQC7, umm I just saw the Viper M1 - wouldn't mind having one of those... A green-T commander without the serrated edge... the Rhino looks cool... But I like Joel/John's version better (maybe I've got a thing against serrations?)

So, let's see. That'd be what? Maybe $6,000? Ouch. But, Like I said - it's a WISHlist

The CQC8 looks too much like a banana for me - not aggressive enough. The "9" doesn't say "knife" to me - more like "utility cutting tool"... the laGriffe is interesting...

Well, maybe one day.

For now, I'll be happy with my SOCFK (serrations and all). Now all I have to do is find one of those Skull clips for it...

I did indeed.. purchased it today. I let my girlfriend wrap it and I won't be able to touch it until xmas day. Went for the black.. Personally I don't much like the green ones .. even though they only got 50 of those in. It was tempting but nahh.

Oh yeah.. I called them before and made sure they had one I wanted. Asked about the $10 charge and the guy didn't have any clue what I was talking about. He said if I purchased it over the phone it would just be the cost + shipping and no tax because I'm in MD just a couple hours away.

CD - congrats on the SOCFK! Bummer about the wait, though. Maybe you can convince your girlfriend that Santa's coming early this year.

I don't know what it is I like about the green... I guess it's just that there are so many satin/black blades out there.

Mine SHOULD be arriving tomorrow. About the $10 fee - maybe it's because I'm up in Boston... either that, or the guy wanted me to feel extra special

Can't wait to start carrying it! Although, when I send it off to get customized, I'll have to wait again. ::sigh:: C'est la vie.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I got number 230. It surprised me that I got a serial numbered one. I asked the guy if they had any numbered ones left and he said he didn't think so, but wasn't sure. I guess they had atleast one more left. I was particularly surprised because I had heard of people getting the last numbered ones a couple weeks earlier.. 301 and 302 etc... Over the 300 that were supposedly made, except not really. Yeah I know the story, they threw out some of the older ones due to QC and continued on with the numbers.


I got to examine it for all of maybe a minute and then my girlfriend took it and wrapped it heehee.
