I see it some where I am at but people are inconsistent with it.

What folks need to do is tactical shopping.

Just like we had to go to the mess tent and eat tactically. By the time you spread out and found a place to eat, your food would be cold.

How many of you remember that?
Takes me back a bit. I ate many meals standing up or using the nearby water buffalo as a table.

The bus before they shut down service for two weeks:

When you have to go to Walmart, be prepared...

The crazy part? No one looked at us weird at all.
I even wore this mask into the bank, and no one cared.
A few weeks ago, no way could you do that.

(Still no toilet paper at Walmart...and now all the stores are sold out of weights too! People rushed in and bought all the weights when the gyms shut down).

*Wow...Amazing photos & scenery available to you,
They could All be Postcards!!
-This one, however, of this Case, Abalone Toothpick
blending in so flawlessly with the background and the tree limb is by far, my favorite!:thumbsup:

Many thanks! Yea, luckily the cherry blossoms abound right here along the streets throughout my neighborhood, so I can still enjoy them even on my daily walks.

So far we can still go outside here for essential needs, and walks as long as you stay 6 feet away from others. So, why not go a walk and take some pics with knives and things? :)

First pics are from after I got a coffee walking through the Tim Horton's drive-thru (can't even go in store at all). This spot was a homeless sleeping area when the weather was warmer and foliage hid it from view:

Another day involves a really, really long walk. At the far end of it, I found this squirrel:

And then this homeless person camped out under a bridge:

Some city outreach workers came by after I put the camera away, and made sure he was doing okay. They're really trying to make sure there isn't virus spread in the homeless community.

Next, off to the River, where some people were hanging out, widely spaced, or fishing in a boat:

Time for knife pic on the rocks:

And finally, my favourite picture of the day:

So that's it for a couple of walks out there.

Why not post your own knife/walk/indoors activities pictures as we continue our social distancing activities?

Nice chopper

I'm a glass half full kind of guy. For as ugly and unnerving as this situation is and as jarring it was to see people panic buy and horde, I'm starting to see a bit of a shift in the neighborhood around me. I live in a very regular suburban part of town. Houses are next to one another but the yards are good size. People are getting out, walking, interacting with one another from safe distances. Folks who have lived around each other for 5 or 10 years and never really got out and about are crossing paths (safely) as they walk the neighborhood for exercise and to take a break from being stuck inside.

Mother Nature decided to whack my town with a tornado touchdown the other night. No one was serious hurt and a few buildings got seriously thumped. That was 1/4 of a mile from my house, so we obviously had some residual clean up to do. Everyone was out, hollering across the street at one another to check in on each other. More able bodied neighbors were offering to manhandle blown down limbs for more elderly folks. It was nice to see.

I'm hoping that when this eventually runs its course that we learn a collective lesson. Maybe being cut off from one another for so long will draw us back in a bit. That said, i did buy a Cold Steel Leaf Shape Spear and may use it as a social distancing stick the next time I go to the grocery store.
