Including the Bravos, I have owned 5 Socoms. 1 had an issue with lock rock. Sent it in and had it back 2 weeks later, perfect.
I’ve never heard of them having issues with lockup, other than the one I owned

I had 3 that failed. The one I have now is good.

I just whip it out and they are not quiet. LOL... but I'm in a constitional carry state, so if everyone can carry a gun, they don't mind my 4" blade.

I’ve had multiple SOCOMS over the past many years ( vero beach plastic box era up to current production ). I’d chose the MSI for the reasons I’ll list below

* They actually cut well without re-profiling ( re profiling a modern socom is a pain in the ass too )
* Ambidextrous
* Better price
* Easier to field sharpen a sheep’s foot ish blade
* Tip up carry

If microtech follows the trend of axis / shark lock type - maybe the socom with have its turn. I just wish the SOCOM sliced as well as the MSI - in .19 stock with such a microbevel , not happening.
