linjunpei -- failed to notice if any Brits/Europeans posted on this thread. I would hope some of them would do so, particularly to discuss the serrations on the Socom. There have been scores of posts about the difficulty of getting knives with serrations onto airplanes. The general consensus seems to be that serrations are perceived as assaultive in nature. From comments by the General and Bart in Belgium, many of the countries of Europe have stringent laws against carrying much if anything in the way of knives.
Were it not for the serrations, I'd recommend the Socom. Have to say once more am never going to buy anything sold by the self-appointed leader of knifedom.
