I like it a lot, although I would have preferred an uncoated blade version as well. At the very least it’s quite a departure from recent near 100% Axis-lock folders.

Very cool! I really like it alot! Looks like it might come with a usable edge on it. The fixed blade double sided dagger SOCP dagger I own came with super wide angles on each edge. It must be inherant to the design because the Spartan CQB tool, which is essentially the same knife as the SOCP dagger.

It is a very cool folder, however I would have liked to see some device to wave the knife open as it is supposed to be a self defense folder.

Good point, with the thumb-disk instead of studs you won’t be able to attach anything for a makeshift wave. Even so, I like it.

You actually might be able to take the screw of the thumb disk off and screw a little post into that hole sort of like the Spyderco Pikal’s style of wave.

That handle has got to be pushing 6" long. With a deep-carry clip that short and a handle that long, you'd better have some deep pockets to secure it.

Their website has the knife on it, but I don't think the info is correct. The Benchmade website claims that this knife does not have a glass breaker, but the photos and press release indicate differently. The Benchmade website also has this listed for $210, rather than the $205 in the article.

And also: a D2 blade with G-10 scales, steel liners, and a liner lock for $205? That price is beyond laughable.

Not titanium liners?

I know Chinese production is cheaper but there are good knives coming out of China with the same materials for like $25.

The American companies need to realize the Chinese companies aren’t coming.... they’re already here.

You know, I assumed this one was Chinese made. Kinda looks the part. I’d imagine I’ll pass on this one.

I think the Fact already fills this niche nicely.

Good catch on the website. I have shared this with the team.

Those scalloped groves on the handle scales are reminiscent of ek knives grips.
Nice feature for a combative knife.

That long handle is gonna be tough with the thumb disc. Discs usually require constant pressure all through the opening, if you don't get a deep enough grip you wont have the thumb reach. The deep carry clip works against this too. Also the socp was designed for reverse grip application and that glass breaker looks like a pretty uncomfortable thumb rest. I like it though it could be an excellent forward grip fighter. Sort of an ek/a100 hybrid ,wish I knew the dimensions.

actually the glass breaker looks to be the same as the one on the 810, which is minimal, and has never been an issue for me using a reverse grip. but as always, ymmv.
