I used "scarlett" colored Rit dye (get it at your grocery store)

Fill 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup with enough water to cover knife handle.
Put in microwave and heat to near boil.
Add 1 full package of Rit dye and stir well.
Clean knife with rubbing alcohol and put in dye mixture.
Stir mixture occasionally.
When dye mixture cools (about 15 to 20 minutes) remove knife, rinse with water and scrub blade with toothbrush.
With knife out of mixture, reheat mixture in microwave (cover mixture with towel or such so that mixture doesn't splatter inside of microwave).
Put knife in mixture and stir.

I repeated the "reheat process" six times and ended up with a red, orange, yellow "boney" looking finish.

Clean knife well with fresh water and oil.
I used a toothpick to get any excess dye out from any nooks and crannies.

PROTECT ALL SURFACES AND OBJECTS YOU DON'T WANT STAINED---ONCE THE DYE GETS ON SOMETHING IT'S GAME OVER.

looks like I'll be picking a few extra case sodbusters up with some Rite dye:D Nice work guys!

I have a Queen Country Cousin and am much impressed. I picked it up second hand but hardly used. It might not be the factory edge because it's pretty sharp. Good F&F too. D2 is a bonus.
