Recommendation? "Soft Use" Folding Knives for Slicing

I already own both a Ranger Grip and an Outrider. Great knives, but what I'm really looking for is a modern folder with a pocket clip. See above.

Good luck! I have an outrider and am looking at the the Ranger Grip 79 right now. It's a whole lot of tool for the money, OHO, nice big saw, etc. It's a shame that so many modern folders are built to survive Armageddon rather than actually cutting stuff really really well. I'm a big fan of a thin blade myself.

How easy is it to put a clip on something like a Ranger Grip? I'll bet there are people providing this as an aftermarket accessory, if not, there should be! :D

Here's my new addition that belongs in this section. Very surprising.

.4 mm behind the edge. It's still a modern folder, feels sturdy, but it's ground pretty thin with a tall blade, thin package.
It's cheap, well made, designed and balanced. Got mine in store, so picked a good one.
It's on roller bearings.

If you don’t mind slipjoint, give a try to the manly wasp in 12c27
Affordable and very VERY good slicer

It's a pity, truly. No point in making the blade stronger than the lock and pivot, if you ask me ;)

I've been using these for years: https://www.survivaldepot.co.uk/Tec_Accessories_P7_Suspension_Clip/p474753_4389796.aspx

Adding a proper clip can be done with a file and some epoxy if you're not chuffed about resale value. There's also some 3D-printable clips that you thread into the corkscrew, but the one I tried kinda sucked.

TRM Atom
TRM Neutron

I've looked at these and they seem prety hard to get - even more so over here in Germany. I'm keeping my eyes out for an Atom at a decent price though... it's aesthetically not perfect enough to my eyes to just go ahead and buy new at full price. I have to admit the specs are really close to what I'm looking for, thanks for the reminder.

Which model is that? How thick is the stock? Looks like a chunker :O

It's not what I'm looking for in this thread, but I actually have one on my shopping list. :)

Try a Douk-Douk.

Very thin knife, slices as well as an Opinel without the drawbacks. All metal construction and lays very flat in the pocket. Very much like a Mercator 55 that is also a great knife for what you are looking for.
