SOG aegis, are they any good?

I've heard some negative stuff about the SOG aegis. I can't remember what it was about.

for the money, how is the aegis? what if you compare it to the flash?

it's zyter or something similar, with NO steel liners? will it ever be made in aluminum?

I personally think the Aegis is a better knife than the Flash, but both are good knives.

Both the Flash and Aegis have the same handle material and do not have liners, so pretty much a wash there for comparison sake.

They both have the same AUS8 blade steel, Assisted opening mechanism, and reversible pocket clip.

For the the difference comes from the shape of the handle and the blade design. The handle just seems to fit better in my hand and I like the larger blade size offered by the Aegis.

Had mine for a few months. Cleaned about 100 geese and maybe 50 ducks with it so far as well as the regular day to day stuff. For the price, it's a great knife.
