SOG assisted lockbacks?

For some reason I remember someone saying that by pushing the lockbar button, the blade will open, is this true?
If so, any videos?

My SOG Blink will open that way, but you have to really bear down and push the lock bar all the way to the bottom of the cut out with the tip of your thumb.

I don't have a video link but it will work. Is it still legal?
