Is the S.A.T. the same as a auto knife. Just wondering , I would like to get one but if it is against the law don't want to get busted. I live in N.C . Can anyone help. Thanks
Being a former NC resident, to the best of my knowledge this is NOT considered a switchblade in NC. If it is, I violate the law regularly when I visit. The logic as I understand it is that you have to begin openning the knife before the assist kicks in so SOG SAT and the Kershaw technologies don't count. Button actuation does. Personnally I think it all is a bit much as I have several unassisted knives that open as fast or faster than the assisted.
