Sog aus8a vs Cold Steel aus8a

Near as I can tell they are very comparable. The only standout Aus8 HT I've come across was from Al Mar.
 
Heavy Handed, I always wanted Al Mar Eagle,but never bought it because of steel and price;).Is their aus8 similar to vg10 from other companies.Absolutely love Al mar Eagle ,heavy duty version too.
 
That wouldn't be far off the mark. It seemed to be run to a higher RC than SOG or CS. Takes a little longer to sharpen it up and holds a fine edge better, does not hold a coarse edge as well. Isn't a huge difference, but I'm reasonably familiar with Aus8 and I noticed right off. I have the Eagle Ultralight - is a really nice package.
 
Ill be getting the Heavy duty version probably, have handled few Al Mar knives and Quality is just superb.
