Well, opinions here seem (from what I've seen) to be split about 30%, people who love SOG knives, 40% people who don't like SOG, either because of their designs, or because they feel that their quality is lacking, compared to what it was.
The last 30% (because I didn't want this to be one single sentence...) is not really interested in SOG, whether it's new or old.
I fall into this last group, and those percentages are just my semi-wild guesses, based on what people say in various threads. For all I know, there could be a huge group of people who are solid, committed supporters of SOG, but they have their own forum, and don't bother with showing up here.
Overall, their fixed blades seem pretty good, although some are over-priced for what you get. Do your research, know what you want before you buy, and purchase from a reputable dealer so you can return it if you're disappointed.
Which brings me round to the rather clever way you managed to insert the name of a retailer which is not on Bladeforums paid dealers list, and a coupon code for the same retailer, into a post. I guess this technically makes this "shilling". I can't say much, because my reputation is far from spotless. I'll assume you were trying to do other people a solid, but be careful.
