The SOG Duo is intended as a "best of both worlds" design...
I have handled one, and found the idea interesting, but not my cup of tea... I just couldn't warm up to it, and it didn't fit my hand.
A few people I've talked to keep one in the car or toolbox...
I can't find a review on it, although Tactical Knives (IIRC) did one a year or two ago when they came out.
Thanks,
Rob
Screwdriver? Don't they say on their site that it can be changed with a coin? I've only ever seen one in person once, it definately looked like a coin would do the job.
I sure am glad that Rob posted a pic of the knife in question. When I first saw the thread I was thinking that it was the SOG Outline inquestion. :footinmou hee hee hee. The duo sure is an interesting knife.
I've done it a zillion times. Just about any coin will flip the blade. With practice, one can turn the blade around in maybe 30 seconds (I've never timed myself). It's a great concept.
Ron, I have changed one about 3 times, , It changes good, works good, and would be handy I think for a hiker or backpacker who wanted something light and versatile. It would go well for a person who wanted a little something extra, just in case.
It is a good design.
