SOG Flash II

My Flash II is about 10 years old and still running strong. On paper, the new generation appears about the same. Is there any difference or is it basically the same knife.

The handle and lock release were updated about 3 years ago. They now have the same release mechanism as the Trident, making it easier to operate. Also, the handle is a little more rounded/sculpted, but otherwise they are the same.

Just by coincidence, I put my Flash II (camo plain edge) back in my gear bag for EDC.
I've been leaving it on the table by the door but now it's walking around with me again.
