Sog Flash II

Hey guys, i recently took my friends Sog Flash II to do some cleaning up of it...

Well to my surprise the blade has alot of rust spots... i know its AUS-8 steel and i do know it is said to rust... but this knife hasn't cut anything near moisture...

I think he was just slicing some box's.. maybe tape.. hmmm its definetly interesting.. just wanted to share it, and see if you guys had any same results in using the flash II?

My flash II, as well as some of my other aus8 knives all rust due to moisture in the air. Even after You touch an aus8 blade, (or any other high carbon blade) the oils from your hand can react with the steel producing rust spots... It's annoying, but just keep your blades oiled up, and remember to wipe them down and oil them after every use!!!!

Haha yes ver i know all that.. unfortunetly my buddy is a novice with knives and dosn't own many...

just wanted to see if alot of people has rust of their Aus-8 blades.. as i never see any bad rust stories about em ..
