sog handle

I have an olderr sog night tech, and the handle is a little large for my hands. could I sand down the kraton handle to make it somewhat smaller? any idea what type thing to use to sand?

Please don't do that to a night tech. Its probably worth more than you think. Go for the new SEAL elite and play with that all you want.

Holy COW! You own a NiteTech? Keep it as is, dude.
Besides, you can't quite "sand down" rubber like Kraton. It wouldn't survive any friction. And I am not about to advise you to cut it either. The best way if you are dead keen on having a handle remodel, is to have it customized. That would include calling for a total destruction of the original kraton handle along with an entirely new handle made as replacement. Would that be entirely worth it? I don't think so. The simple solution is to get yourself a pair of gloves with textured rubberized palm. And do yourself a favour by not spend too much on that item either! Think disposable.

the highly recommended solution to make the handle smaller is to send the knife to me.

In about 15 years I'll send it back, and the handle will be smaller after all the use it will have received.

The Nite Tech is a desireable knife, being IIRC SK-5 carbon steel and gun blued. Send it to me, and I'll post some great pictures!
