I have Northwest Ranger, that I have had for many years, that has Spencer Frazer's signature etched on it and also the North American Hunting Club seal of approval etched on it. Does anyone have any info or approximate value of the knife? I'm pretty sure it is an early model because it has the Seki Japan tang stamp.
I have searched the internet and have found nothing.

Firstly, in my opinion ( which is like assholes, everyone has one) this and many other rules on this forum, is ridiculous.
I was under the impression that this forum, as with many other forums I belong to, was one that would openly greet and welcome new members, and to share knowledge and advice about an item or hobby of specific interests. I see that is not the case.
I have seen forums like this before where many members ( not all) have obnoxious and I'll mannered ( smart ass ) attitudes toward new members ( as well as tenured) and even new paid members.
With that being said I will log out and log off of this forum and leave it with a bad rating advice on other forums I belong to.
I' m sure that this is no skin off anyone's back here and certainty not off of mine.
Good day gentlemen.

That's great, thanks. There's the door over there. Have a pleasant day.

You also seem to have ignored the ridiculous rule about keeping your language family-friendly.

Good day.

Rules are rules. Regardless of what you may think, this is a private forum in that it is "owned" by someone, and as such, is subject to their rules. There are reasons, which you may not believe to apply in your case, but such is life.

People on BFC are extremely knowledgeable, and in my experience, only those who demonstrate a bad attitude or disregard for the stated rules are going to be on the receiving end of any "ridiculous" replies. You've covered both at this point.

So be it. On values, they are very subjective and its worth what someone will pay. As a "register user" you can not sell a knife through BF. Upgrade your membership, if you are indeed still a member after the outburst above. Good Day.

We need a drama forum. Oh, wait ...

Should I move this to __ ?

Z) Bernard Levine's
Y) Whine & Cheese
X) Pirates Cove
W) Back End
V) Traditional (ah ha ha ha haaa)

R) Minor Knife Discussion
Q) any other suggestions

Not defending the guy, so please don't mistake this for that. But this forum has changed quite a bit from when I first joined. Definitely a lot more rules now and way more net nannies on here. Just my observation, still enjoy it though.

We have rules for good reason. Whenever we have an ongoing problem, we try not to make a new rule, but many times, that's the only solution.

We have a lot of new people all the time, it takes time for us to bring them up to speed. In the case of this rule, the net nannies are usually the ones to tell them -- it's a generally well-known rule. We're happier applying it informally.

And as we see here, some of them don't want to hear it. It doesn't match previous experience elsewhere. And even informally isn't nice enough for them.

Just think about how much it's changed since me and Esav first joined. Some stories we can tell ya, and we're noobs compared to some of our eldest members.

But rulz is rulz. There for a reason, and the rules here have evolved out of absolute necessity. Believe you me.

First world problems, man. Gotta love 'em.
