SOG Omega Spring?

Thanks Arathol! I appreciate all the time and efforts that the forum members are putting in to help. I will give them a call. I bought a 4 pack of coil springs in the hope that they will work. Member BJE is familiar with some SOG products and seemed to feel that these may be what I need. I plan to take it to a local knife repair shop as the owner said he would disassembled it if I could provide the springs. I will update the forum members once I get it looked at. Best case scenario the springs will work. Worst case I get a better idea of what I need and get to see the inner workings and update the forum members.

Hello fellow forum member, I have good news regarding my SOG Quake XL. A local knife shop here in Austin Tx named Austin Blades was able to fix my knife. The .50 coil springs that I bought online from KnifeKits. Com worked. I will be pick up my knife later this week. It seems those guys know what they are doing when it comes to open assist type folders.

Hello fellow forum members, I just picked my SOG Quake XL after repairs. Austin Blades here in Austin Texas did a great job. The knife is open assist again. Fortunately they were able to repair the coil spring tang which somehow had come out of the notch that holds it in place. That caused in to be bent out of place. The owner had a heck of a time bending it back to its correct shape but managed to do it. He informed me that the coil spring is flat not round. The coil springs that I purchased did not work. Fortunately the knife doesn’t need to be completely disassembled only the round spring cover needs to be removed. Unfortunately I don’t know where a replacement spring can be found. I think SOG may have manufactured their own. Wish I had better news but feel free to Google Austin Blades maybe you will have the same luck and not need to buy a replacement spring.

Absolutely zero support from SOG now.
Had a broken spring on a Pentagon XR a few months old.
CS rep basically told me no parts available and they don’t work on them.
Said to try to take it back to where it was purchased if I had the original receipt.
That big box store told me it was past the return date.
Useless knife now.
