I Have Sog Veitnam 5th SF group knife were all of thesse marked with a ser. # if ser # were a limmited run how many were made thanks. chris

Hi Tanto Trader,

Welcome to the SOG Forum. Your question is a good one. First, though, let me do a little product. There were three knives designed for SOG by Ben Baker and SOG has now replicated all three:

• Here's theSOG Bowie
• Here's the Recon Bowie
• Here's the Scuba/Demo

Both of the later two were released in the past couple of years and the initial run was numbered up to 250. Our original SOG Bowies were numbered, but I've never received a firm upper number. I would have thought they'd have stopped around 500, but I've heard numbers upwards of 1,000 (or even rumors in excess of 1,000). So to answer your question..."I don't exactly know."

THANKS RON for the info the 1 I hav in the pic. is#0014 thanks again. Chris the Norwegian. I love Sog products and I love black-t coating I need to get off my but and have my pentagon elete folder blades coated have you thought about more factory blade coatings like black-t?
