Sog scuba demo damascus

KENHASH is 100% correct!! Except i have 1st hand knowledge that there was SOG DAMASCUS SCUBAs available from a knife store in Japan about 5 years+ ago. I bought the last 3 when the market was HOT!! I paid i think 450each and sold them for 800-1000 back in the day!! They were all unsigned.. Then about 2 years ago a knife company out of Canada had about 5 or 6 of them he sold on ebay without sheaths.. He was selling the for about 375$ each... they had no sheaths!! The story about only 20 or 25 that were sold at a SHOW IS CORRECT those were signed by Spencer(what a crappy engraving work and numbering) I LOVE VINTAGE SOGS and i LOVE everything about that company in the GOLDEN ERA, but some of the COA that SPENCER PUT OUT look like junk espeically when he did those beautiful colberation knives with KIKU (or whatever his name is).. Anyways I also ran across a knife article in a japanese book about SAJI DAMASCUS BILLETS and they had a SOG DAMASCUS SCUBA so aparently this SAJI BILLET STEEL is what they used.. In the end Spencer had all type of contacts in the SEKI JAPAN world.. They made this special SCUBA and its clear many nore than 25 were produced... in my years i can say i have seen atleast 5 or 6 signed and maybe 10 unsigned-- I have owned atleast 5 unsigned(2 from EBAY and 3 from japan)... LOVE THOSES KNIVES BUT I always resell cause i cant stop buying stuff

The unsigned unnumbered Scuba Demos obviously do exist since you have two of them. I Doubt SOG will be of much help since to many of the people who work there now SOG's Seki made knives are ancient history. The people who would know are the factory that made them. That same factory produced all of SOG's Seki fixed blades other than the S1 and S2, and at the same time were making the fixed blades for CS as well. So they had a lot of stuff leftover in the factory when SOG terminated production in Seki around 2006. There are quite a few SOGs that are around, that don't fit the details on the SOGcollectors site, which is a very good resource, but is far from complete.[/QU

Hi Mick, welcome to BF.
Someone needed to say it.

Cheers from NZ.

I don't have flickr, or imgur accounts, and don't want to

There are many free image hosts that don't require you to make an account, and they're all pretty simple to use.

I've contacted Sog twice, no answer. Is there anyone on the forum with intimate knowledge of this knife, that could provide me with info on it.

Contact SOG twice about what? What sensitive info that will be kept in confidence do you need about it? It's a knife, not a decaying stockpiled cold war nuclear weapon.

This is my first post, I've joined to ask this one question. I just managed to find two damascus scuba demos. One with a Randall sheath, the other with a similar looking sheath. One knife came with a Sog box, and packaging. Both knives are unsigned, with no serial numbers. Both came from the US, I'm in Australia. I don't have flickr, or imgur accounts, and don't want to. I know from reading the collectors website that 25 were made for the 2004 shot show, all sold there and no where else. One of the knives came with a note saying it was found during a clean up of the store room at the factory in Japan at the end of 2004. I've contacted Sog twice, no answer. Is there anyone on the forum with intimate knowledge of this knife, that could provide me with info on it. If this needs to be kept in confidence, I'm happy with that. I'll send pics to email of anyone that can provide accurate info so they can see the knives. Mick.
