Beckers are awsome blades. Best knives for the money. Bar none.
 
In my experience, the Becker handles are uncomfortable (I have medium to small hands), and the steel is brittle.

If you want a very affordable chopper check out the Ranger Knives RD7 or RD9. If you are prepared to spend more than that then a Swamp Rat Camp Tramp or Battle Rat would be an excellent option. The Res C handles do an incredible job of absorbing shock.
