SOG Seal Pup Elite handle?

Asked this on the General forum with no reponse..thought I'd ask here. Anyone modified their Sog Seal Pup elite handle? Seems like a great knife but the finger groves seem a bit pointed and the handle a little rough.
 
I like the handle for what it is. Grippy, indestructible and perfect for soakings in water. Easiest fix if you don't like the ergo's is to wrap with camo grippy tape. Provides cushion and comes right off without leaving any residue.

If that won't do, take it to a sander and hand finish with various grits of paper. Might be a fun weekend project. :)
 
I love the pup elite....handle grooves really aren't that sharp and the handle doesn't really feel that rough either....great little camp knife
 
I have pretty tough hands and so I like it but I can see others having a problem .
I would just let it get banged up some it will get grippy in the smooth spots and smooth in the grippy spots over time.
 
wonder if I could just file off the front finger guard? the one in front of your index finger before the blade......
