finally decided to chose from these two, can u help me?(the use is not important, only wich is better in genneraly.).
thanks.

SOG is better quality than Buck. But may i suggest shelling out a little more cash and getting a swamp Rat M-6???

I know that its kinda off topic but you might as well take the step up and get the great warranty and great product.

But to answer your origional question SOG all the way. Better quality, and better design.

I like the buck better, except for the sheath which sucks. now a nighthawk with a good kydex sheath would be awesome. later, ahgar

thanks for the answers.
the problem with this knife is that it dosnt have a sarrated blade, and i preffer a black handle, looking for a sarrated or partial sarrated blade, must be black. i love the buck design, but have the feeling that the sog is better quality, any other suggestion in the limit of 100$ ?

SOG Pup:
tried it in the knife store and it got stuck in the kydex sheath.

I once read somewhere here that there was a problem with it being stuck in the sheath. Maybe do a search just to read up on it ?

HTH.

I have handled both and I own a hard to find Buck Nighthawk Tanto. Sog makes great stuff, but I think the Seal Pup is Taiwanese. No matter, still a good knife. The Buck is made like a tank, but it's very heavy. The handle is comfy and I have no doubt mine would go through the hood of a cadillac.

couldnt find anywhere the rat m-6, but did found the m-5, m-7 and the tak, can u tell me what r the difference (beside the size)?and can u explain to me a little about the d2 steel vr. the 1095?
sorry for the trouble and thanks.

Well as far as warranties go I don't think you will beat Bucks. I think both the seal pup and Buck nighthawk are fine knives. I prefer the Nighthawks handle to the Sog. I think you will be pleased either way you go.

If this is in reference to my post yeah you will. The warranty on swamp rats is the top echelon of the knife world. If you break it they will replace it. No questions asked.

i dont know about the warranties between buck and sog but id think that the sog warranty would be superior.
