Has anyone used a SOG Seal pup for their survival knife? How does it do as a survival knife? Do the serrations get in the way of gutting?

overall it's a good knife I've had one for a while... it holds an edge well for the type of steel it's made from and is very corrosion resistant if you are a dive it'd make a great dive knife it is a good utility knife but not the best for wilderness survival the spine is thin in spot which will chew up your baton and rob you ofa lot of juice if using it for battoning the serrated edge is on the lower part or "sweet spot" of the blad which gets in the way of whittling... and there is a large space between the handle and the cutting edge of the blade (iguess this is called a ricasso) which robs you from using the full blade length for cutting it also has a militaristic look to it which is less than sheeple friendly..howevr mine has served me well on many snorkeling and kayaking trips good knife for the price if help within it's context.

I liked the one I had but I am no fan of serrations. Sure wish SOG would offer their knives without em!
