SOG Seal Pup updated specs?

Hey there guys, Just been reading that the Seal Pup has been upgraded (this was probably old news to many of you) . I've got one that I bought a few years back... what's been changed? if the handle's been lengthened, i might go get a new one...

Are you talking about the Seal Pup or the Seal Pup Elite? They still sell both models.

Seal Pup. I read that the original, not the elite, had been tweaked a little bit.

As far as I know it hasn't been changed in a while. The seal pup still uses AUS6 steel and the elite uses the AUS8. They haven't changed the dimensions etc. but here they are in case you have an older one.

There's some Seal Pups made in Taiwan instead of Japan that are more similar to the Elites. They have AUS8, a longer cutting edge, and longer handle, basically an Elite minus the Spine Rasp, but the ones made from Japan are still the original specs. Though I'm not sure which one you would get if you were to order it directly from SOG, but at a dealer you could see if its marked Taiwan or Japan.
