First off I really didn't like using my Sog Seal XR with Stone Washer S35vn Blade. It came in a Black and Grrey SOG Box,inside simply clipped to Crummy thin cardstock insert. No baggie or Warranty Card. The Blade was sharp but extremely hard to Thumb open, easier to Flip open but impossible to swing open in the reverse grip - downward.
Back to the Knife,All SOG XR locks are basically BM Axis Locks.Taking apart mine Sog just placed a button over the axis/pin lock and the Blade cutout beasically identical, except for a long sharp corner. The reason for the long travel of the locking bar in order to deploy the blade.
With the Knife completely dissembled and the blade mounted into a bench vise, and using diamond files I proceed to round off this area.Making sure all filed surfaces are square .Proceed with a polish with a 4mm round felt bob.

After cleanup and assembly,I was able to easily and slowly open the knife with the Thumb Hole and Flipping was much easier.Even Flicked open the blade in the reverse-just like a BM.
