For sale Mint-in-Box 1980’s SOG TIGERSHARK SK5. This knife is super rare in this condition. Once in a lifetime piece.

The knife comes in its original box and leather sheath. It had some discoloration on the blade (no rust, see photos) they become invisible after oil was applied. It has indentation marks on the handle from the sheath strap. It has S. M. Ca. stamped below the square SOG logo on the tang. The leather sheath has a minor scuff on the button (probably from the box). The Box has small holes on both sides from the handle of the knife. This is a serious bit of collectible SOG history in mint condition. It is not perfect, but it is about as close as it gets. This is rated a 9/10 for rarity on http://www.sogknivescollectors.com.

"The SOG Tigershark (SK-5) was the 5th model that SOG produced. It is one of the first few iconic models that SOG rolled out - which means that it forms the basis of the SOG company history. Just imagine - 9 inches of shiny sharpened SK-5 carbon steel... almost like a mini-sword! This knife is especially hard to come by, and it pops up rarely for sale on the web. This model is the base for the current Tigershark models, like the Tigershark Elite. Many have commented that this SOG knife makes a great camp tool (especially for chopping) and makes very quick work of any wood, largely due to its nice hefty blade that has great weight balance and feel. People who bought this knife certainly did use it well, which explains why it is difficult to find a Mint In Box (MIB) piece."

I got it! It looks very good, thank you. It cut through the box a bit, but no big deal, I patched everything up. It is fine now.

I am leaving positive feedback for you.

It may be a while we are probably relocating to the mainland, so it may be after that. I have been putting it off for a long time now.
